- Chosen by Voters If you don't have marshmallows, you can use a 7-oz. jar of marshmallow creme instead. Melt it with the butter on low heat on the stove, or at high for 3 minutes in the microwave.I used to follow the recipe on the box of Rice Krispies, but I always thought it needed more butter. I end up using 1/4 cup, or half a stick of butter. Melt with the marshmallow creme. Stir in 6 cups of Rice Krispies cereal until well coated. Press evenly into a 13×9" pan coated with cooking spray. Cool.Or you could make a small amount and just eyeball all of the ingredients. Use the microwave, and keep adding the cereal while you mix until you get the right consistency. I do this all the time when I don't want to make a whole pan or don't have enough of one ingredient.EDIT: If you look further DOWN on the page, there are frequently asked questions about making Rice Krispies Treats. And one of the questions is about using marshmallow CREME, which is your question right? You can use the marshmallow creme as a SUBSTITUTION for the marshmallows, which is what you are asking! - Chosen by Voters I am not sure that you will be able to sell it at school, as it comes under the FOOD and Health Dept. Laws… You cannot sell something that does not pass the Health codes for example, it must be made in an approved food service setting or establishment. and pass the food service liability laws etc. it is somewhat complicated to explain….Check with your local Health Dept. for more info. - Chosen by Voters If they're canned, just heat them up on medium heat until hot (prior to boiling). If they're fresh, a good way to cook green beans is to dump them into boiling water for a minute or so, and then transfer them to a colander and run cold water over them for a minute or so to stop the cooking process. This is called blanching, and it results in a bright green color and a snap to them, rather than overcooking them, and making them drab green and mushy. 3 weeks ago 100% 1 Vote
