Does anybody have any good hard candy recipes?
- Chosen by Voters There's this really awesome and old candy recipe. I modified it a bit so it would taste better.Ingredients:Sugar syrupFood coloring of your choice (optional)Glass jarPaper clipStringPencilPour some sugar syrup into the jar. Add some food coloring if you want to. Tie a piece of string to a pencil. Tie a paper clip to the other end of the string. Remember: your pencil should be longer that the diameter of the mouth of your jar. Suspend the pencil on the rim of the jar and immerse the paper clip in the sugar syrup. Leave undisturbed for a few days, after which you will see a rock of candy forming on the paper clip. Look out for ants. Actually, this takes a bit too long for my liking so I just freeze some apple cider or something and lick on it
